About me
With 20+ years in education, Christen Northrop continues her work as TK-12 Mathematics Coordinator at CCCOE, collaborating with statewide teams for the California Collaborative for Learning Acceleration Grant. Her passion has led her to roles as teacher, coach, & administrator. She has provided district-wide oversight for curriculum, professional development, & assessments across all grades, including alternative and special education in math and computer science. Christen collaborates with educators to develop plans ensuring high-quality instruction of content standards. She has delivered hundreds of hours of training in various educational settings in mathematics, computer science, STEAM, equity, learning acceleration, UDL, & improvement science. A presenter and attendee at various professional conferences, she now serves as the CSSESA Region 4 Mathematics lead and the Region 4 Curriculum & Instruction Leadership Committee (CILC) lead for Mathematics and Computer Science.
