About me
Many moons ago, and with very little experience, Dr. Ivy Ewell-Eldridge was hired as a first-grade teacher in Los Angeles directly following the completion of her undergraduate studies (God bless those who were in her first class!). In the ensuing 27 years, she served students, families, and teachers in California's public schools as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, teacher on assignment in curriculum and instruction, and school site administrator. Ivy has been a Supervisor of Teacher Education and lecturer for UC Riverside's Graduate School of Education and provides professional development for various school districts through the Center for Culturally Proficient Education Practice. Dr. Eldridge is currently an administrator for the Riverside County Office of Education in Instructional Services, primarily focusing on Literacy, English Language Arts, and English Language Development.
